This November we will be hosting our first Employer Excellence in 麻豆国产 Education Seminar.

Join us to hear leading employers and sector representatives discuss:

  • How they are working with educators to support young people become work ready.

Our expert panel will share insights and practice informed by our latest research and quality frameworks and we will explore how employers can develop skills, including through modern work experience, and help young people transition from education to employment.

Meet the panel

Peter Cheese - Chair

Peter is CEO of CIPD, the professional body for HR and People Development. He is also Chair of Engage for Success, and sits on many forums linked to wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, routes into work and skills, flexible working, and corporate governance.

Peter writes and speaks widely on the development of HR, the future of work, and the key issues of leadership, culture and organisation, people and skills. In 2021, his second book 鈥楾he New World of Work鈥 was published, exploring the many factors shaping work, workplaces, workforces and our working lives.

Prior to joining the CIPD in 2012 Peter had a long career in consulting at Accenture.

Jane Gratton

Jane is Deputy Director of Public Policy at British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), leading on employment and skills, and bringing employers and policy makers together on labour market issues. 听From schools and apprenticeships to lifelong learning, Jane is passionate about shaping an education 听system that supports young people to develop skills for great careers and 听helps employers develop their workforce.

Jane joined the BCC in 2017 from the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce where she was Deputy Chief Executive. During her career, Jane has led the delivery of business support programmes 鈥 helping thousands of firms of all sizes and sectors.

Jasbir Sondhi

Jasbir is an experienced educational leader with over 20 years in the sector, currently serving as Group Principal at Capital City College Group (CCCG). Her expertise spans senior leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, and fostering inclusive environments, all driven by her commitment to equality, diversity, and social mobility.

Jasbir鈥檚 leadership has been pivotal in creating a culture of continuous improvement at CCCG, where she has enhanced achievement rates, teaching quality, financial efficiency, and employment outcomes for students from diverse backgrounds. A firm believer in the transformative power of education, she is dedicated to breaking down barriers and ensuring all learners have access to meaningful opportunities.

Lucy Hunte

Lucy has worked in the training and education sector for over 20 years; for the last 12 years with a focus on apprenticeships. Lucy has led business development teams at two London Further Education colleges but for the last eight years she has worked for NHS England (formerly Health Education England) offering strategic support to the NHS on all aspects of apprenticeship development, delivery, and implementation.

Lucy is passionate about entry careers and apprenticeships as a great tool to recruit new talent to the NHS but also as a way to upskill the existing workforce and offer career pathways and progression.

Paul Skitt

Paul is Skills Development Director at Flannery Plant Hire and an experienced senior leader in education and skills, specialising in construction and infrastructure. Paul works collaboratively with key national and regional stakeholders, to improve the education, skills and careers system for the infrastructure and construction industries. Paul is passionate about employers connecting effectively with their future talent pipelines. Flannery Plant Hire are firm supporters, and early adopters, of the Employer Standards.

Stuart Munton

Stuart joined AND Digital in 2014 and is Chief for Group Operations & Technology, leading their internal technology functions (IT, Cyber, Software, and AI).

He became an agile advocate in 2004 and has led pivotal transformations for major players like ASDA / Walmart and the NHS.

In 2020, Stuart co-founded the Agile Reading meet-up, creating a space for agile enthusiasts and has been speaking at international conferences since 2021.
